Gerhard Redelinghuys Managing Director

Mr Redelinghuys is the Managing Director of Cape Coal and has 23 years’ experience in Financial and Project environments. After studying finance at University of Pretoria Mr Redelinghuys joined Price Waterhouse Coopers, before commencing his employment with EXXARO Resources (previously Iscor and Kumba Resources) in 1995. Since 1995 Mr Redelinghuys held various senior management positions in the Corporate Office and on both open cut and underground operations in South Africa while also serving as a director in Australia.

Further to his business analysis experience Mr Redelinghuys has extensive experience in acquisitions and deal making on an international level. Mr Redelinghuys is currently the owner’s representative in a multi-billion dollar underground coal project in Queensland and has conducted a comprehensive analysis of the Queensland coal environment for junior exploration and development companies. In 2013 Mr Redelinghuys became a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

James Agenbag

Mr Agenbag has 12 years’ experience in the mining industry covering all phases of business and project development, process design, commissioning and optimisation of processing facilities across multiple commodities. After completing his Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2003, Mr Agenbag worked as a process design engineer at EPCM companies including GRD Minproc and DRA Mineral Projects. In 2008, Mr Agenbag moved to Australia to help build DRA's Brisbane office. His responsibilities included research and development of new business and client management in Southern Africa, Australia and Indonesia. 

Mr Agenbag has substantial experience in beneficiation optimisation with emphasis on various technologies where he jointly holds patent rights and has delivered technical papers. More recently, he was responsible for the process engineering discipline across Peabody Energy Australia’s projects. Mr Agenbag is also affiliated with ECSA as Professional Engineer, Member of IEAust (Chem), and an active Member of Australian Coal Processing Society.

Mr Coetzee has 26 years’ experience in the mining industry covering roles in the Metals and Coal industry as Technical Services Manager, Planning and Studies Manager, Project Manager and Principal Engineer in open cut and underground operations in both South Africa and Australia.

Mr Coetzee is a Chartered Professional (CP) and a Competent Person in Metals and Coal. He is also a treasurer for NUGS (NSW Underground Geotechnical Society) and the deputy chairman for the AusIMM Life-of-Mine Spectrum Committee. Mr Coetzee is the owner of Mine-it and consults in the engineering field to all industries nationally and abroad. Mr Coetzee completed his advanced Survey, Evaluation and Geology accreditation in 1995, an advanced Project Management diploma, Management diploma, post graduate diploma in Mining Engineering and is currently completing his Masters degree in Mining Engineering.

Mr Coetzee is affiliated with the Australian Institute of Minerals and Management (MAusIMM), the Australian Institute if Company Directors, Engineers Australia and is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (REPQ).
